Our readers will surely know that I am not an advocate of the Federal Vision, but this video is ridiculous. This is a prime example of how not to engage in a theological debate.
Josh you are so behind the times. We talked about this on myyyyyy blog last week. The guy that runs these moronic videopostings is very unreasonable to deal with. https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=309782187235980763&postID=7595523878524379524&pli=1
You are so right. I am behind it. My friend from seminary pointed this video out to me. At least we both agree that this guy is off on his approach. I also thought it was interesting that the video took a shot at Van Til.
That explains the whole salvation via assensus vibe I was picking up throughout the video.
These guys separate justification and sanctification, when in reality (it seems to me) the best of Reformed theology treats them as distinct, not separate.
You would think. But the name on youtube of the poster is Red Beetle. On his youtube page, the background is a picture of Gorden Clark. So, the Robbins comment is probably not far off.
Rob pulls the arrow out of his quiver, aims at the post on Dan Sweatt, and hits just a tad off the mark by commenting on the wrong post. But, I'm still enjoying these alcohol-themed comments, so I'll let it slide by and only give it a snide comment.
I know this message by Sweatt is totally ignorant, and commenting on it is like shooting fish in a barrel, but it sure is fun, isn't it?

ReplyDeleteYep, I figured as much when he went after the incomprehensibility of God.
